Projection Brackets

Projection Brackets

For outside-mount window treatments, projection brackets provide additional clearance between the headrail and the wall. They create extra space so that the window treatment doesn't hit the window's operating hardware or molding. You can attach these L-shaped brackets to the top or back of the headrail.

We are ordering sliding panels for an outside mount installation. How do I know if we need projection brackets? Is there any clearance at all on the tracks themselves? Also, what is the depth of the valance?

Asked by: KMcK
Hello. Thank you for contacting us at Bali Customer Care. We are happy to assist you. The blind would come with a projection. So we can provide you with the most accurate information we would asked that you email us at https://member.baliblinds.com/customer-support/contact-us/ with the fabric you are looking at and number of rails you were wanting and stack.

I am looking for the best sun blocking fabric in the sliding panels. Can you advice me what would work best for blocking out the sun and heat.

Asked by: Barbie
Hello. Thank you for contacting Bali Customer Care. We are happy to assist you. You would most likely want to be looking at the solar material as they are great for reflecting the sun and heat. The lower the percentage the greater privacy they provide.

How many inches do I need to add to the height when doing an outside mount on a wall above a patio door? Also, how much do I need to take off of the height so that the panels do not touch the floor?

Asked by: Sunny
Hello Sunny. My name is Mary with Bali customer care. For Sliding Panels, Measure height to be covered from top of headrail location to bottom edge(floor) or top of sill if there is one. Record measurement. Allow 3" for adequate mounting area above the window. If panel extends to the floor (e.g., to cover a patio door), measure height from the headrail to the floor, and deduct ½" for roller, solar, and Roman fabrics, or 1" for woven wood materials Note: The manufacturer makes NO deductions on outside mount installations. in order for the panels to clear the floor. I have included the link for measuring below for your reference: https://member.baliblinds.com/globalassets/3.-documents/measuring-guides/bali-sliding-panels-measuring-guide.pdf

I'm trying to determine whether to do an inside or outside mount, but since I don't know how wide the panels are, I don't know how many channels my headrail will need and can't determine if an inside mount will fit. Please advise.

Asked by: DMoney
Hello. My name is Mary with Bali Customer Care. We are happy to provide the required minimum depth for inside mounting. The 2 and 3 channel tracks require at least 1" depth while the 4 and 5 tracks require 1 3/4" depth for mounting. For additional ordering assistance, you may call us at 1-800-538-9419.
